This is a 6 page tutorial with step by step instructions and diagrams for creating your own necklace like the ones pictured. The tutorial includes the quantities and colors needed to make the necklaces shown.
Level: Advanced Beginner Techniques: peyote, herringbone, square stitch
Supplies and Tools for an 18” long necklace:
11/0 seed beads
6mm Honeycomb Jewels * in two colors
2.5 mm x 5 mm SuperDuos in three colors
4mm round or faceted bead
5mm jump rings
1 clasp
6lb Fireline
Size 10 beading needle
2 pair of chain nose pliers
* WARNING: The finishes of some honeycomb jewel beads can have sharp holes. I had problems with the edges of the holes on some beads cutting the Fireline. I suggest running the Fireline through the beads to test them for sharp edges before using and discard any beads that cut the Fireline. Also, reinforce with extra passes through these beads. You may want to substitute standard honeycomb beads for the honeycomb jewels to be on the safe side.
